Everything that has changed on RandomBayanSMP since Season 1 opened, newest first. This post is kept up to date: new updates are added at the top. October 17: World Bosses, Battle Royale, Gravity Items - World Bosses: everyone near the summoner is pulled into a boss arena (no PvP, you keep your inventory). Mahoraga adapts to the kinds of damage it takes, so keep switching how you fight. The Gravity Warlord, Fajita, pulls and pushes everyone, and drops loot that crafts into gravity weapons. Guide - Gravity Items: the Gravity Sword and the Ultimate Gravity Sword have their own powers: a gravity domain, a pull and a push. While one is in your hand, F and Shift+F use its powers instead of your path ability. Guide - Battle Royale: queue with /br join (4 to 24 players). Every match is played in a brand-new world. You start with nothing, and everything you own is saved and given back exactly. Drop from the sky, mine, gear up, then fight as the border closes. The top 3 win coins, and every kill pays a Bayan Coin. Guide - Duels now have a timer with sudden death, and duel bets: both players bet items and the winner takes all. Guide - Website: Bosses and BattleRoyale are on sale as plugins, and the S1 Plugin Suite now covers all 18. October 16 - Juggernaut: a new arena event. When 6-10 players queue with /juggernaut queue, one is picked at random to become the Juggernaut, with 30 hearts and a giant glowing body, and everyone else hunts them. Nobody dies or loses items. The top 3 damage dealers win coins. Guide - Build Battle: queue with /bb join (4 to 12 players). Each of you gets a plot in a sky world, picks blocks with /mats, then builds a random theme. Everyone visits every build and votes, and the top 3 win Bayan Coins and builder coins. Guide - RandomBayan Paths v1.21.3: the Shadow Sword is stronger (8.5 damage plus Sharpness V), the Monarch's hound army has 50 health, and path icons and rank badges show as pictures in chat. - RandomBayan Paths v1.21.2: path icons next to names, Prideborn's Bow Before Me can be hit again, and lighter ability effects for Bedrock players. - Shop: Custom keys x15 are on sale, plus Dimension Papers (Easy, Medium, Hard) and Pet Slots. - Shop: Wingless and Hellfire are now sold with their quest already finished. - Shop: our own plugins are for sale to other server owners, one at a time or all 18 in the S1 Plugin Suite. - Website: shop items now sparkle and glow, the new Season 1 logo is animated, and the home page shows the live community count. There's also a BayanCraft Discord button. - Website: every plugin has its own page on Plugins, and Plugin versions lists every update. October 11: Dimensions, Pets, FFA & Duels - Dimensions & Dungeons: a rift portal opens every hour. Inside is a dungeon generated fresh every time (4, 7 or 10 rooms, seven themes) with a boss at the end. Clear it for Rift Shards and spend them at the Rift Shop. Dimension Papers open your own rift. Guide - Pets: the Pet Merchant at spawn has new stock every 30 minutes. Pets follow you, give a small boost, and some can be ridden. The Baby Fire Dragon grows up and can fly as an adult. Guide - Rank badges: COMMON, RARE, EPIC, LEGENDARY, MYTHIC and CUSTOM now have their own badges in tab and chat. - FFA & Duels: /ffa queue onpath or offpath, and /duel <player> onpath or offpath. At 1 heart you're out and keep everything. Winners earn Bayan Coins, and friends can spectate duels. Guide - Fixes: stunned players can be hit again, and I AM ATOMIC's voice line plays whole. Tridents work in combat again. - Shop: builder coins now cost 2 pesos each. October 10: The Builder Zone - The Builder Zone opens: the strip south of z 17,000. /rtpbuilder takes you there. No PvP, explosions, fire spread or hostile mobs. Claim your build with /claim. Builder coins buy blocks from the Builder at spawn, and Builder+ lets you claim up to 1250x1250. Guide - Wingless is stronger (shorter cooldowns, harder hits). - Prideborn and Lustborn now control players: Bow Before Me, Thorn of Pride, Charm, Temptation, Mesmerize and Irresistible. October 9: Hellfire - New path: Hellfire. Fire, lava, magma and sacrificed health. Earn it through the quest "The Descent", or buy it. - Sinners now drop a Sinner's Heart when killed by a player. - I AM ATOMIC rebuilt: a full cinematic with its real voice line and a 70-block blast. - Monarch gets a 7th ability, Shadow Legion: pick exactly which shadows rise. Shadows now claw up out of the ground. - The Bayan Market moves to the Mysterious Trader at spawn. Coins come every 30 active minutes (up to 15 a day), and the stock is posted in Discord #stock. - VIP now includes Nether RTP (/rtpnether). October 5-6: Shadow, Monarch and the Void skin - Two new store paths: Shadow ("I am atomic") and Monarch ("Arise"). - The Void skin: every ability of every path falls into the void. - The Bayan Market and Gems arrive. - Ability damage now lands properly on armoured players, and dashes work in a fight. - Final forms are easier to earn and hit harder. Trial bosses go down faster and the retry wait is 15 minutes. October 4: The Premium Scroll - The Premium Scroll: save your paths in slots and switch between them out of combat with /premiumscroll. - Invisible players no longer get exposed by passive glows. October 3: Season 1 launch - RandomBayanSMP Season 1 opened at 7 PM. - Ability skins arrive (/pathskin), and Wingless gets its original stone-and-wind look back. The fire look became the Wyrmfire skin. - Launch-day fixes: the Wyrmfire dragon shows, Ascension auras are visible, and abilities work in the open world. Before launch - Path Ascension: four Ascensions (Seraphic, Crimson, Void, Tempest) with their own bar and /ascension. - Bedrock players get the ability icons and class emblems, and the Paper of Destiny lets you pick your exact path. - Class emblems and faction badges on the HUD. Our home is getting a new address: https://randombayan.com The website (and soon the server join address) will move there shortly, possibly as early as tomorrow. - randomservermc.ddns.net keeps working during the switch, so nothing breaks in the meantime. - Bookmarks and saved server entries will need updating once the move is done. - We'll post an update here as soon as randombayan.com is live. RandomServerMC and BayanCraft have merged into RandomBayanSMP, and our first season together opens on Saturday, October 3 at 7:00 PM (PHT). What this means: - A brand new world. Everyone starts over on the same day, no head start for either side. - Built around RandomBayanPaths, our own plugin: pick Human, Angel or Sinner, get rolled a subclass, and unlock abilities by defeating 20 different players. - Season 3 and BayanCraft Season 4 stay open until launch day, then close together. Past seasons keep their pages, rosters and screenshots under Seasons. Nothing gets deleted. See you on Saturday at 7 PM.
